Straight answers about web design and e-commerce.
The questions Ontario business owners ask most, about cost, timelines, redesigns, Shopify, and what a website should actually do for the business. Short answers here; the longer conversation starts with your brief.
How much does a professional website cost in Ontario?
Landing and business sites run $1,200 to $8,000 CAD. E-commerce and B2B builds run $2,900 to $25,000+ depending on catalogue size, integrations and design depth. Every quote is a fixed range you see before we start. A second language typically adds $900 to $3,000.

A landing page takes about two weeks. A business site runs three to six weeks, a store six to twelve depending on catalogue and integrations. If you have a hard date, a launch, a season, a campaign, we plan backwards from it.
Start a projectShould I redesign my site or rebuild it from scratch?
Send it in for a free teardown first. If the foundation is sound, we redesign in place and keep what works. If the code fights every change, a rebuild is usually cheaper than patching. The teardown tells you which, with no obligation.

Shopify is our default for e-commerce: fast to market, dominant in Canada, easy for your team to run. We go custom when the requirements call for it: B2B portals, gated catalogues, quote flows, or a content system your team will actually use.
Shopify & B2B buildsDo you build bilingual (English/French) sites?
Yes, and for Québec or federal reach we recommend it. We build bilingual EN/FR sites with proper hreflang, localized metadata and transcreated copy, not machine translation. It typically adds $900 to $3,000 to a build.

The site shouldn't rot. A Website Care Plan from $129/mo covers proactive monitoring, platform and security updates, developer hours for fixes, and ongoing speed and SEO upkeep. Month to month, no lock-in.
